  • As Ireland mentioned, the main appeal of Super Duper is the smart backup capability. After creating the initial disk clone, it will only update the files that have changed since the last backup. Drag and drop of your files will work, but the res…
  • SuperDuper creates a bootable clone of the original disk. It can also (optionally) create disk images. Why do you want it to be more complex?
  • LCDs have become increasingly better (contrast ratio, brightness, and response time are the key speccs) over time and those old Apple displays don't have specs comparable to even the cheapest LCD displays.
  • Just wondering the same thing myself... OWC doesn't seem to offer an extended life battery for the MBP, so I just assumed they did not exist and then I see Fastmac has them. They don't provide a whole lot of info about how much more life it gives.…
  • Seems like the end of March is a very possible release date for Safari 3.0, and ultimately Leopard... I can't wait! I agree that Safari should be updated much more regularly, especially not only when a new version of the OS is released. One sho…
  • I'm glad to see the tables are turning with respect to acceptance of defective LCD displays! Consumers allowed this to happen (let manufacturers push us around with accepting a defective display) and I'm glad consumers are now not accepting 1 dea…
  • I'm not sure how the Safari dev team works, but you're probably right about it being for Leopard. Depending on the Safari QA team size, it could be weeks (or maybe even a couple of months) before testing is complete for the new release (3.0).
  • I'm thinking about ordering the same from Crucial since I've had good experiences with them in the past with PC RAM. Let us know how you make out...

  • There are a variety of methods of payment online: http://www.apple.com/support/store/shop/payments.html
  • Turbo Tax doesn't exist in Canada. The Intuit.ca product in Canada is called "QuickTax" and does not have a Mac version.
  • I would assume it is a photo that exists in the library but doesn't belong to a roll. My understanding is that a "Roll" is created within iPhoto each time an import takes place.

  • Yes, some Sony-Ericsson phones has built-in flashes.
  • I cannot explain what you're seeing, but I've got 12k photos in my iPhoto library and the performance was quite acceptable even on my 1GHz iBook. I have keywords and descriptions on many photos but definitely not all. Have you tried rebuilding y…
  • Somebody surely will pick up the slack and offer an expansion card. Possibly even Apple.

  • Belkin announced one on Monday... http://www.belkin.com/pressroom/rele...pressCard.html I wouldn't be surprised if Apple released one as well.
  • Or use an ExpressCard Draft-N card (assuming they exist)...
