i wouldn't mind a speed-bumped price-dropped book, means i'd be able to afford a reasonable amount of ram.

powerbooks must be updated really soon if it's just a speed bump - only way i can see them having the ibooks nearly as fast as the pbs for any length of time is if they're waiting to release something really big

you will have no problem video editing on an emac. i run final cut pro 3 on a 600mhz imac with 256 mb of ram, and it works fine, just takes a while to render things.
