The front page looks like the inside of Ally Sheedy's purse in the Breakfast Club... Leave a couple tools inside the toolbox, yeah?

What he says is pretty much true. Obviously a theoretical Apple TV would have an adequate-to-good display. But where they'll really compete is in interface and the "whole package".

They've set themselves up to be a profitable company for a long, long time. Credit to them for that. But internally, I can kinda see them being a headless chicken as far as direction and big ideas go.

I was waiting for the Melinda story to show up. If the Gates family had Apple products in their home, fanboys would be hooting it up at MS's expense as a self-justifying data point about Apple, regardless. MS/Gates can't win either way, because m…

I'm pretty sure the "Apple" batteries are repackaged Sanyo eneloop batteries, or something very similar. Eneloop batts are pretty good. I hate when rechargables drain on their own after 2-3 months. It's not a problem with eneloops. The "80% capac…

"Enemy" is a strong word, likely because Japanese translations from these guys are occasionally "off". Calling Nintendo lazy is ridiculous. They're a lot of things, but lazy isn't one of them. Nintendo is not going to compete with Apple direct…

Qualified for the job, though kind of ironic since he's been publically ho-hum about the Wii and it's lack of sufficient hardcore titles. Taking on an iphone app job isn't going to sooth that craving.

Oh yeah, no kidding. Apple got what they really wanted out of it -- the IPs/patents/whatever. Beyond that, a culture shock is inevitable. It's hard to argue with anyone that thinks a change like that isn't what they signed up for, and didn't want to…

No hand recognition for homework, note taking, etc. It really is just a large Touch. Cute, but no need for one.

No hand recognition for homework or note-taking. Nothing really must-have about it. Cute, but I'll stick with my Touch and Macbook.

LOL. Oye. So much hype. Still, unless there is an unexpected paradigm shift, I'm not going to be on the market for one. It would be great if there was more to it than just the expected larger iphone, e-reader, hand recognition stuff. We'll see.

The information in the article may be generally correct about exclusivity ending in the future, but I don't think we're going to get any specific information about cell phone carrier changes during this announcement. The tablet could have multiple c…

Not counting on this one. A tactile keyboard with bumps is just... weird. And over engineered (read: sloppy).

Nice, the MacPad is a good name. A tablet is still a tablet. Unless there is some sort of unforeseen paradigm shift yet to be explained, I don't have much use for one myself. Back when I was in college, it would've been nice if there was a ta…

Err, this article is "a bag of hype." And the last thing we need is an even slimmer desktop. They're pushing thermal limits enough as it is to excuse them from using good mid range desktop-grade hardware.

No firewire, no sale!
