I'm surprised Yao Ming doesn't have one at the Olympic village. I like the basic design a lot. Hopefully, Apple will ask the image to be removed and then we'll know it's close!

This is only a guess on the general look. Obviously the details will be there for whatever you need to do. Take it for what it is a design excercise and not as the final product.....

This may be the closest guess yet on what the iMac will be as it is "simple" in design as had been described on one site.

The new iMac was meant to be introduced a little over a month ago according to the following from the Apple website: Apple then announced at the quarterly analyst meeting last month that it would contain a G5 chip. That is all they sai…

Ummm. Interesting. Within the hour we'll know. No new iMacs I would presume since the U.S. store is not down.

Airsluf, As long as the labels get their required share of profits (which they will) there's no probablility of any lawsuit. Sales, even below cost, are not uncommon. It's only a month long promotion anyway. Apple gave away iTunes downloads fo…

That Macompass design, while "sexy" would be very unstable on a desktop. It wouldn't take much to tip it over. It also doesn't seem to allow for a tilt stand, which you can purchase for the eMac. An eMac re-design would never look like that. The…

The problem that I see with the Real campaign is its' overwhelming negativism. It wants to put down Apple (and ultimately users of the iPod) more then it wants to sell any advantage it has. It's fairly mean-spirited and unecessary.... WAIT A MINUT…

Real will not make any money on the downloads through Labor Day. This is a frontal assault against Apple's dominance and a seemingly "last chance effort" to make headway against iTMS. As we know none of the other services have had much success. …

John Lassiter, nah. I vote for Woody!

No matter. Developing the technology in the lab is not the same as being able to manufacture it in a factroy (as we all do know, don't we). G5 chips are not coming from IBM as fast as promised according to a report today on their current product l…

Apple stock took a small hit late today when a major Wall Street firm said delivery of G5 chips is not going as well as hoped. Apple thought they'd catch up in August. Doesn't look like it will happen. Soooooo, don't expect a lot of iMac G5's to …

Maybe Woz will help Phil! Phil can do a good job as he has keynoted other shows before. SJ has become predictable and the keynotes are always 90% a recap of what came out afew months before. Anyway the message is more important than the deliv…

SJ's cancer was a very rare kind. It is not the more common type which results in only about 5 years survival. In the announcement it said all the tumor was removed and he expected a complete recovery. Follow up comments by doctors familiar with …

At the last conference called Apple confirmed that G5 yields were the prime reason for the delay. When asked about the heat-releated issues, they responded that they were minimal or words to that effect. In other words, yes an issue as many other …

In person? No way. He just underwent invasive and delicate surgery. It takes months to recover. Under no circumstances would he be allowed to fly unless his doctor was insane. As stated, he'll be there via iChat and will probably introduce the …

Rumors have the new iMac being completely different in form factor so I'd think adding a "half a dome" is going backwards. Apple has done that, been there. They never go in reverse. We're in for a wonderful surprise I believe. It may be the best…
