Hey Blue Meanie: Do you unplug your TV at night? How else do you think it remembers all of the channels when you turn it off. PLUS, how do you think it senses the Power ON command from the remote?

Plus, realize that you can't put a price on good design.

You're all being a bit harsh. Maybe he got a lemon.

gelding... thanks so much for posting the photo of the new iMac on your desk. I hope people notice how uncluttered and simple it looks. That's exactly why all the ports are on the back. Apple knows what they are doing. Why mess up the smooth look in…

Space is VERY tight inside the 12" PowerBook. The backlighting probably won't fit easily. As for backlighting the current translucent keys on the 15" TiBooks: There would be an awful lot of light coming up from the keyboard. In a low light settin…

If we're lucky, there might just be enough room in the new 15" PowerBook to fit the backlighting. Rumors say this is a definite feature.

If Apple is already BUYING tons (or gobs) of 5x7 LCDs, at least you can hope that something is in production and might be announced soon.

[quote]Originally posted by Eugene: I don't see any logic in your statements, Matsu. Unless you know what Apple's sales figures are for the 12" and 14" iBooks, there's no logic assuming either or both are going away. Apple will probably keep both…

I keep wondering if the new iBook will be some radical departure from the current design.

[quote]Originally posted by Matsu: Not expanded, reduced, but increased, you dig? Matsu. What are you hinting at? A BIGGER iBook?

[quote]Originally posted by Tomb of the Unknown: Nice try Dave, but no. The Learn and Earn site doesn't put up tests, its just a site where sales people can get the latest dope on Apple products couched in salespeak. And despite your resistanc…

I have been thinking about this a lot. With the introduction of the new 12" AL PowerBook, I think the time is right for a radical, NEW iBook. Maybe we'll see just two versions; a low end and a high end - like the iMacs - but I'm hoping for something…

A friend of mine works at an Apple Store here in the Northeast and he says they are stocked full with every model, Mac & Windows. So I'm not sure what we are hoping for here, but it might not happen as soon as people hope.

Apple won't do it. It goes against their philosphy. They have a superiority complex a mile wide and nothing is going to change that. It's part of what defines the company. So, you and everyone else can keep clamoring for them to make a low priced…

The photo above of the guy with the PowerBook is currently on the Spinner display at the Apple Store near me. It's a new window design that is promoting the 12 inch PowerBook. Funny thing is, the store doesn't have a demo unit in yet, so the window …

What? "They" who says this? Can you back this up with any links? Any expansion on this would be helpful.

No, I doubt it will be a new iDevice. Who would buy some new, unproven technology without a little time to do research. With the iPod, there was a month or so that went by before the public could actually get one. They had them at the stores to try …

It's interesting to note that AppleInsider called Rothenberg's article "speculative" and he filled it with a lot of "I'm bettings," "It is my strong beliefs," and "If I'm rights." Is he pulling our leg? He is anxious to write about this, but hiding …
