I don't see the 24" LED Cinema Display sticking around all that much longer given the recent switch in display ratios from 16:10 to 16:9 in the iMac, which is probably less expensive (or will become less expensive than 16:10 panels).

This might be further evidence that something's coming. I ordered a 13" MacBook Pro for one of our teachers & got this email this morning: Dear Apple Education Customer, Thank you for your recent order. Purchase Order#…

There's no question that MacBook Pros are next on the 16:9 hit parade. At least starting with the 15" and 17" models. To be precise, 15.4 will become 15.6" and 17.1 will be 17.3". If we are lucky, a new high-end model at 18.4" will be added. …

This new Acer laptop, model G51J, has a 15.6" display at 1080p running Windows 7 Home Premium. It has the new Intel Core i7-720QM processor running at 1.6GHz, 4GB of memory, DVD burner, and two 320 GB hard drives. It also has a NVIDIA GeForc…

They are either coming next week or skipping a week after next and coming the week after earnings. Apple doesn't release major new hardware during their earnings week.

That's thicker and uglier, we don't know the specs on the display...and who wants to grease up their display with fingerprints and swipe marks? I don't know about touch screens on an iMac. From what I have seen, the Core i7 processors in annou…

Guys, I'm just relaying what I've read...it wouldn't be un-Apple to use a shitty graphics card now would it?

I saw it an another forum and although it's probably a Photoshop job, it seemed like it could be possible.

I don't care if it stays 16:10 or goes 16:9. Matters not to me. But it does matter a lot to others. Apple has hopefully learned from the matte vs. glossy on its pro notebooks to what professionals want. Then maybe they haven't. It wouldn't surp…

The rumors of a thinner design, new keyboard, mouse, etc. work in the favor of them also incorporating new displays too.

16:9 displays are becoming more and more prevalent in notebooks and computer monitors because of cost. LCD panel makers want to standardize on 16:9. This will drive the cost down of fabrication. I would be shocked if the new iMac, new MacBook, an…

My guess is the Mac mini upgrades will come before the new iMac. I would think the Mac mini update would arrive on or before Wednesday, October 7th. I think the mini upgrade will be minor. A trickling down the line of components, where the 2.0GHz…
