I'm still waiting for a mac navigation app. there really isn't anything out there to compete with the windoz bunch. ever since maxsea dropped the mac support back in the os 9 days. if i could just find somebody with an old mac version i could run it…

For me, it was a no brainer. I have quest dsl account and i could pay them to be my isp or use .mac. I don't remember what quest wanted for it (maybe $10.00/month) but i remember it was cheaper to use .mac and get all the extra features with it. Th…

I think it helps to forward the crap to apple spam cops (spam@mac.com) as i did in this case. just fill up their mail box with the stuff and eventually, something will get done. Be sure to send the long header info.(instructions here: http://docs.in…

I routinely burn 1 hour worth of video to dvd via iDVD. the last one was 16GB. I have successfully burned an hour and a half video. i don't remember the size of the file but i think that is approaching the limit of the dvd (single sided 4.7GB). the…

I, for one, refuse to download a media player, that will be outdated by the time the download is complete. Real media player is the worst. I don't think i have ever been able to play content in real media without downloading the Quote: latest p…

this was on the new iMac. still only have 512mb on the memory. don't know if this would make any difference. I'm in the process of downloading another trailer in 1080P to see if is the same. i'll post back in a bit.

downloaded IMAX Magificent Desolation in 1080P: video codec is H264. Playing fps was between 8-13.8. data rate was 8.69 mbits/sec.

i would be happy to run the fps test, but you gotta be real specific with what to do to get the info. "go to apple's web site" you mean itunes? "donwload a 1080p movie" i assume the kong trailer will do? how do i get the frame rate?
