Might be interesting to have a photo app the takes full advantage of Core Image but I don't think that Apple would do anything to hurt its quasi-alliance with Adobe/Macromedia. Also, Photoshop has been around for a LONG time so it definately has a s…

Welcome to the world of Mac portables. Eventually they'll be competitive power wise again, you know, after the Intel transition.

I think its good that a major company encourages its workers to be creative. I'd love to work for a company where I could use company resources to further my own pet projects.

If you have the money, I would suggest picking up a used iBook and using it to get acclimated to OS X. Then, when the Intel based PowerBooks eventually come out you'll be ready to upgrade to one. IMHO the current PowerBook line is tremedously under…

I read something a few days ago that said decreased battery life when using 10.4 is due to constant Spotlight indexing which continuously uses processing power. Let me see if I can find the article again...

Come on Apple, better late than never. Give us some macho PowerMac G5's with dual dual-core G5's... my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Do you already have the Airport Express? If so, why not try it out and see if it reaches with acceptable speed. Nice picture/diagram btw. 8)

No problem, its a very useful feature that isn't very well known.

Hum, an interesting problem. Maybe Disk Utility can detect a music CD vs. a data CD??? Try making a CD in iTunes and then trying to make and image from it. Also, do you have Toast? If so, try making an image using it and see what happens.
