Apple files lots of patents for products it never builds. This one's a dud; they're not going to actually make any of these. Remember who told you so when it doesn't happen.

"Mysterious white powder in an envelope" indeed. They only evacuated the people who weren't invited to the "Snow" Leopard pre-party.

The guy in that ad reminds me of this guy. His tech savvy is right on par. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueEnRT1K_BU

Why does anyone care what Ballmer thinks or says? Has he ever been right about anything?

No surprises here. iMovie '08 didn't run on PPC Macs either. This is not a new trend.

Also, all of you who have turned a discussion about a WEB BROWSER into an opportunity to argue about POLITICS need to get a freaking life. Seriously.

So where are the developer notes? Or has AppleInsider not actually seen them? Useless story without the actual info, IMO.

Much better. However, it was pretty hard to find the small, light gray button for adding an image to favorites, adding a contact, etc. I actually hit it by accident -- otherwise I wouldn't have noticed it. I wonder if there's supposed to be an im…

I'm not sure I agree about the reason for Apple's stock price jump. It's following exactly the same trend as the NASDAQ as a whole. I would say the explanation given in this article has nothing to do with it.

Based on this feature alone, it's hard to imagine how the iPhone has managed to gain any traction at all in Japan, where people have been using MMS almost exclusively for at least 5 years now. Nobody uses SMS in Japan. Even if you're only sending te…

I would agree that the App Store still needs a lot of work, and many of the suggestions already mentioned in this thread are good ones. Even so, I'm glad to see Apple has blocked reviews from people who have never downloaded an app they're submit…

I dislike the new Safari address bar. It simply reduces the visible portion of the URL, making it *harder* to see where you are. The Google field is completely useless and a massive waste of space; the smaller magnifying glass icon that brings it up…
