Hmm, you can get a Firewire cable for less than $10.

I dunno, I think many are under the impression that people LOVE windows. I don't really think that's the case. Windows is still the primary choice mainly because it has the most software titles. I can tell you that OSX isn't what's keeping Windows u…

Well, hopefully MicroCenter keeps that price long enough for you. They've been this price for about a month, so I'm guessing they're just getting rid of the remaining 1.0ghz models to make room for the 1.2s.

Depends on your budget. If you are happy with spending $1000-1200 for an iBook, then I say wait. If you are a bargain shopper, you can get a G4 1.0ghz 12" iBook for ~$800 right now. Mac prices are typically very stable, so I don't think you'll ever …

newegg.com is the best if you're in the States, IMO. Their prices are always low, and they ship fast. I recommend them to people all the time. That said, so far I'm not minding having just 256mb RAM. However, I don't expect to do many things qui…

Maxtor's are notoriously toasty. I would never run a 7200rpm Maxtor without active cooling. I'm curious to see how long their external drives hold up. What kind of warranty do they have?
