I have an iPhone, but I'm not overly excited about the disk mode. I have a super-tiny 2Gig USB stick I carry on my key chain which requires no cables and takes virtually no space. I would rather carry that for 2G rather than keep 1-2 gig cleared o…

I agree with above... no it's not the ideal solution for getting me to grandma's house... but if I'm driving on the interstate between cities, it will get me across the country. And, it would be nice when you open GoogleMaps on the iPhone to click …

What do you guys think? I feel like I've been burned by Apple's sudden drop in price of songs affecting the resale value of the 6 songs I bought at $1.29. I should sue them for $1.74 of lost value and, what, $1Billion in punitive? Jim

I think that was just an observation that Apple is more concerned with stability of the iPhone and bug fixes than trying to add new features... as evidenced by 2 bug fix releases since Jun 29 but no new features. Jim

I bought an Apple iBook back in October 2000 that had an led ring around the plug where you plugged it into the iBook. Usually, patents take 2-3 years from filing to issuance, so if issued in 2004 they filed close to but very possibly after the…

My Apple BT headset arrived Friday morning, so I had a weekend with it. 1) It certainly is stylish, sleek and great looking. 2) It sounds great... if you can get it to stay in your ear. 3) 30 foot range? How about 3 feet and your iPhone ne…

This is too much. It was pretty well known that the battery was not replaceable even before June 29. No iPod has a replaceable battery. What else would any of us expect? You would think they would wait until 2 or 3 phones failed before starti…

Great on the positive feedback on the virtual keyboard. i was concerned about that. Bummer on the mono-only support for bluetooth (no wireless stereo ;-( Double-bummer on the quality and speed of the ATT network. Jim

Well, you gotta like numbers. This report is based on Gartner Group. Mac sales are up 30% but market share fell 1 point to 5%. Meanwhile, IDC released a report today saying mac sales were up 30%, but market share increased a point from 3.6 to 4…

Hey, Crees! has it right by my book. I have always assumed that Apple uses Apple Lossless as the master database of ALL their online music. if and when the iTunes music store moves to a new encryption standard (whether it is AAC 2.0 or just a hi…
