Speaking of Boxee, does the update break it? I'm fully expecting to have to reinstall it, but I hope it still works.

I kind of get the point to including AT&T in the lawsuit, but Apple? So should Apple have created a product fewer people wanted so that the demand on the 3G network was lower? I'm not sure I can even blame AT&T for anything but bad plannin…

Let's hope they fix the Mail app issues where getting any mail at all requires a reboot of the phone if you've gone from a cell network to a wifi network or vice versa.

As far as I'm concerned, patents should be treated like trademarks. With a trademark, if you don't use it, you lose it. The patent system needs to be overhauled to require that a product incorporating the invention be produced -- and within a reas…

I just may have to buy some music from Amazon. Despite what Apple says, not all of the Capitol catalog is available in iTunes+ format. Two examples in my protected-AAC collection are The Tubes' "Best of" album and "Freezeframe" by the J. Geils Ban…

RAW support is typically an OS-level thing (in the ApplicationServices framework), which allows apps other than Aperture (e.g. iPhoto and Preview) to take advantage of the RAW formats. I hope Apple will release the new RAW support the same way, or …

It's interesting that, in addition to re-electing board members, there was one item pertaining to allowing a shareholder proposal, which the directors were recommending against. Unfortunately, there were no details that I could find as to what that…
