Guys SEC investigation? Where does it say they decided to start an investigation yet? AFAIK - nothing decided by SEC. All they got so far is a lot of Christmas post from Apple. LOL!

iMac and MacBook both recently updated. Maybe refurb at Apple store is good bet but I haven't spotted the new C2D's on there yet! Edit: Student deals! Just buy everything new on Student deals. It's like 16-20% right?

I was just in my local reseller not too far from Cardiff - to fix my recently firmware challenged MBP and low and behold it had become a clone of an Apple store as well.

When this happens I have found repairing permissions from an external disk fixes it. Don't know if works with OSX boot CD.
