Facebook is up 12% after hours. Why? Yes they reported good numbers but more importantly they have a good story to tell and they tell it well. What is Apple's story? All we got on the conference call was FX, FX and more FX. Oh and a pretty useless s…

BTW on the conference call Cook said the install base grew by 25% but services revenue only grew by 15%. I'm skeptical about pivot to services. Where is it going to come from? Apple has been pretty clear on what it thinks about advertising. And I do…

I think Apple still has a messaging issue. It's kind of weird seeing this abrupt transition to talking about install base and services. Just a couple months ago it was all about iPad Pro yet iPad Pro was barely mentioned yesterday. That 60 Minutes p…

Another thing to think about is in the past growth was fueled by new geographies with countries like China coming in wave 2 or 3 of a product cycle. Now most of that is front loaded. China is a wave 1 country now.

I see the Verge has an article up about Apple not sharing sales data for the other products category. What's hilarious is they say the future of the company resides in this category. Seriously? That's laughable. I can guarantee you if Apple comes ou…
