I think I’m starting to agree with you. Also, to people who don’t know what the original Front Row is—i.e. millions of Windows users, just ‘Front Row’ would suit better.

Apple use Myriad Web on their website and Myriad Pro in print. For whatever reason, the news ticker is set in Lucida Grande. I think it looks better at smaller sizes, whereas Lucida Grande looks weird from about size 18 and above.

Oh for frig's sake, can't we just get this over with.

I beg to differ. I realise you said your idea was controversial, but I think we?ll be seeing something iTunes 7-esque in Leopard, with the grey-purple colour scrollbars, and shiny black gloss. Now that I've got used to it, I wouldn?t really mind …

Check your User CP and go to 'Edit Options'. Scroll down to where it says 'Default Thread Subscription Mode. Make sure the drop-down menu is set to 'Instant e-mail notification'. Hope this helps.

Find the original software restoration disk that came with your mini. It?ll let you re-install iLife. BTW, when you run Installer, don?t just press ?Easy Install?, choose the ?Customize? option and make sure iPhoto is ticked. iLife is not part of Ti…

It's a mystery. To be honest I think it's just an affect of applying updates?some seem to make OS X boot faster and some make it slower. I don't know if the amount of fonts you have on your system still affects how quickly OS X boots?wasn't this an …

Try the Wikimedia Commons. You can't guarantee image quality, but the images are all in the public domain and free, the library is growing fast, too.

Do you boot your Mac everyday? Or has it just been the one time since the security update? My MacBook always boots slower the one time after an update, but I only reboot about once a week. I dunno. Maybe check your disk space.

Does sixth-form college count? I use my Mac every day there in a world of PCs. I can't get into the wireless network—college won't tell me the password. However, I do enjoy Bonjour networking by stealing an Ethernet cable from an used PC. I can acce…
