Problem is the €0,50 fee for free apps (that includes apps that are initially free and require an optional subscription). If many users download those apps are only a small percentage is willing to subscribe this can be really bad for the developer …

This is a first step in the right direction. Notarization is a good thing to keep users safe. The €0.50 fee for App installs (beyond 1 million) is ridiculous high. I am sure Japan will follow, maybe even the USA, maybe we will see a Chinese App Stor…

You can buy iOS (iPadOS) apps in the iOS store that can be also used on Apple Silicon Macs. But in the end it does not matter – the relevant App Store is the iOS store and I guess this would be what EU is after.
