Intel just announced support for WiFi 7, Apple is even late with WiFi 6E. I would really like Apple to deliver superior chips, but once Intel has access to advanced chip manufacturing (from TSMC or their own) I fear that Apple (with all the staff fl…

Hopefully Apple will not try to bring Finder into line with Files – I really don't like macOS becoming like iOS (the new System Preferences in macOS Ventura are as confusing as Settings in Windows). Why I fear such a change could happen to Finder? B…

Apple uses iCloud to synchronize login data between devices – I don't like this !

I use Safe+ running native on Mac and iOS which keeps all data locally and syncs using Wi-Fi. That there are also no subscriptions is a really a plus for me.

Apple needs to find to its roots again, even it will not be Wallstreets darling anymore.

After reading some comments, I would like to state that this kit will be used by independent repair shops – so it makes some sense.Since Apple wants to be recognized as a 'green' company and with pending laws I would guess that some parts of this ki…

Not the App Store, but the security/sandboxing of iOS (and developer certificates that can be revoked) have made iOS a relatively safe platform. Where these measures have failed in the past (Pegasus, pasteboard sniffing), the App Store has not helpe…

People complaining about the EU forget that the U.S. lawmakers also want sideloading. People complaining about security forget that there was malware distributed through the App Store and one advantage of iOS could also be used for sideloaded ap…

I like this EU move very much. You are afraid of sideloading? You will be able to stick to the App Store for almost all software! Small developers will continue to stay in the App Store and may sell in 3rd Party stores in addition. Some big players …

I don't like the security argument, because if iOS sandboxing would work flawlessly, sideloading would not be a problem. On the other side, the App Store review process was never good in preventing malware, more in being compliant with Apple's rules…

Hmmh, when Monterey 12.2.1 was available I got a Safari-Update on Big Sur which I supposed to contain the WebKit update. Now I am curious what is in 11.6.4 ...

When Microsoft compares Apple to the antitrust trials against itself (Microsoft) and AT&T they are unfortunately just right.Just think about Safari not implementing some web standards (web apps) that could hurt the App Store and Apple not allowi…
