Well, ordered mine on 1/11 from macmall, and it _still_ hasn't cleared backorder. They sent me a "the item you ordered will be delivered within 30 days" letter, and so I called my sales rep. He said it would be in somewhen in the middle of the month…

Mine is currently scheduled to get to mac/pcmall mid-month, according to my account manager. Not incredibly useful in transit, but this give me more time to prepare for re-arranging things and migrating data. but I want it!

still backordered at macmall. *sighs* Of course they are backordered because they have to A) get them in, and install the other 256 MB of RAM. So I wait and wait. Those who ordered through the Apple store don't have it THAT bad.

First timer here as well. I ordered mine last Friday, and I don't expect it until mid February. Till then I get to read up on the Aqua UI and the design aspects of this machine. It will be the first time I have a good complier on a primarily windowe…

I ordered my superdrive model and it is coming with an extra 256 (from Macmall) and I think that'll be good for the time being.

I'm a PC user too, and my jaw hit the floor. Most people find it very interesting, except my one friend says computers shouldn't look cute. Of course, he's a PC use and a control freak by nature.

I think I'm getting one of these as my first Apple. I currently own: Pentium II 450, 384 MiB RAM, 20 GiB 7200RPM ATA100 on ATA/33 bus (big waste), SoundBlaster Live MP3, TNT 1 (16MB), VeloCD 24x, 64x CD-ROM generic 10/100 NIC. All in a tower case…

interesting. They DO have the 800MHz at a lower price point than the 800MHz iMac, but no Superdrive or screen. I priced something close to the iMac, and it came out to 2600, and that was with a 15" monitor and without a superdrive (combo drive) A…

I measured my dell display (a trinitron 17") and when reset to defaults, the screen diagonal measurement is 16" plastic-to-plastic, but 15" of actual video. You can bleed the screen pretty far out, but even the value they put in the ads is a bit ina…
