It's simple .... I assume you have a macbook since that is the only laptop not shipping with an adapter these days. It is very easy to set it up, just plug it in, go to sys pregs, put the monitor in the right position and you are good to go.

Keep in mind they ship from China, so you might not get the shipping email until after midnight tonight.

They must have run out of the one of the components in that amazing machine you ordered. Congrats! Not on the delay, but the great computer.

FCP works alright, not great though. The small screen size also makes it difficult, I'm sure it would be fine would small quick edits, but not for anything advanced.

I was always told that since more data fits on the same physical space, it takes looker to find it since it is smaller. Like finding a bowling ball in a hay stack versus a needle ... lol .

One of the reason Mac OS is so reliable is because it can only be run on apple's hardware.

Or you could take out the drive and mount it in an additional machine I think fsck is a bit easier though

Try changing the channel and see if that helps -- it could be interference from someone else near you. It might not be it, but it only takes a second to adjust.

The 17in is NOT PORTABLE. I had a 15, went to a 17, and am going back to a 15. The seventeen inch (to me) isn't easy to take in and out of a case, etc.

Remember that as density increases so does seek time. If speed isn't a concern than go with a 4200 RPM 200gig, or a 5400 (when it becomes available). Just keep in mind that even the 5400RPM one will be slower than your current 5400RPM 60gig drive. …

You don't need to worry about it. When I travel I keep the magsafe adapter in the same small compartment as my cell phone and blackberry -- never had any problems.

Manufacturer's set prices all the time -- most of the major ones do. I know Apple and Sony do . I think they can offer mail in rebates, but they can't just lower the price until a new version has been released.

It does work, but it isn't meant to be a permanent security system. I use it in my office when I go out of town. You can have it email you if an event occurs and upload the video to a remote location (in case they steal the computer). I have been dy…

You could use an iSight and evocam. It doesn't provide a true security solution, but you can use it to email you when it detects motion. It is a neat program, great for hotel rooms and such.

Try repairing the permissions by running disc utilities from the os x install disc. Put it in, hold down C, it will boot into the installation menu. Select english, then go to UTILITIES > DISK UTILITIES.

Either that or the migration assistant. I would go with what you are doing, that way you don't get anything you don't want. -Justin

They make a mac keyboard mouse combo, specifically for mac.

I guess it is Micron, it is whatever apple put in it. They still worked but the computer was running VERY VERY slow, even for just 512mb RAM is was slow. I bought 1GB and put it in, so the computer works fine now. Nothing to send back, unless…
