  • In my case, I hold my music collection on my ext HD as I've maxed out my TiBook's capacity, so in order to sync my iPod, that extra Firewire port in the back is a *must*. I have a 160GB Maxtor, btw.
  • Whoa. I did *not* notice that this thread was started a year ago. It's interesting to see what a year has done to Paul's thinking re: Apple in general: on his internet-nexus blog, he simply gushes about the Mac mini, and also Tiger: Quote: So do…
  • Did you buy any third-party RAM? I agree with the others: when you have generic errors like this across lots of apps you have to look at the hardware first, not the software.
  • This is a really clever post. I like the part where he confuses the size of the mini with the size of the iPod shuffle. Also, this line: "While there is a Mac-style ?donnnnggggg? when the Mini is first turned on, during normal operation the unit mak…

  • At first I thought ppl were reading too much into this XM/Apple thing, but then I read an article at MacRumors suggesting that Apple will unveil its use of the aacPLUS codec at the press event tomorrow . link On further investigation, XM Satellit…

  • I thought that the original iBook introduced in July 1999 was a surprise, esp. with the built-in AirPort. That wowed me. I don't think people were expecting it to come so soon, and to debut in a consumer machine at that.
  • Quote: Originally posted by Eugene That's why it comes with an extension cord, silly. Does it come with the extension cord? I thought that was only available in that $40 Monster cable connection kit. Or hopefully, the extension cords from iBo…
  • SJ also used 'Half dome' (in Yosemite) as a search term... another indication of the iMac?

  • I also use function keys, but I don't mind the dock. It's very useful for certain things (like watching CPU usage with CPU Monitor). If you don't like it, why don't you shrink it down real tiny?
  • This is what I do: Move your iTunes Music folder to your ~/Public folder. Then create an alias of it back to ~/Music/iTunes (you can do this by dragging the folder back to its original location while holding down the Apple and option keys). While…

  • I'd love to see the little arrows in the iTunes Music Store (the ones next to artist and album) make it into the regular Library interface. There are so many times I want to only view one and only one album, which usu. necessitates drilling through …
