Every product from Meross I ever tried field after a month or less. Failed as in stopped connecting to HomeKit, and could not be resuscitated.

Yeah welp people at Apple need to justify their jobs and when you hit version 17 of a piece of software these are the kinds of things done to show progress.

It's a relic from another era. Mac Studio covers 98% of the use-cases and sorry but the remaining folks who "need" these really don't- they just need to update how they handle I/O and seek more efficient processing.

Wow, EU countries sure do love treating Apple as their personal checkbook with these made up fines.

Oh, come on! Twitter is by far one of the least complex pieces of "tech" on the internet. Any decent developer could code up a copy in a few hours. The "secret sauce" is mainly the server power needed to keep it running. Such a desperate ploy from a…

Sherlocking is a bit of a fallacy. I've never even heard of some of these apps, but I will now use the built-in functionality. TBH, many apps today are non-starters for me due to their exorbitant subscription fees. $4.99 for an app = 😄. $4.99/month …

Microsoft: continuing a rich tradition of finding the most complex ways to make the simplest things suck.

The Mac Pro becomes even more of a niche product with the Mac Studio out there. The Studio offers more than enough power for most use cases and the need for PCI cards is rarer than ever. Too bad- it’s awesome to have gobs of power but with the insa…

Ming doesn’t know what he’s talking about on this one…
-
I've noticed Ming is getting much weaker in his predictions. Is it possible the shift in production to Vietnam and India has given him fewer local leakers to work with?
-
Sorry but Ming is way off base here. Of course, the appetite for VR/AR headsets is low. All the current ones suck in their own way. It would be like saying there's no market for the iPod because the Zune is so terrible. Or there's no market for the …

Um yeah free is still too much. If you measure lost time and frustration from bloatware, you realize quickly how expensive MSOFT products are at any price. 1 gig for a mail app ought to give you an idea of just how bloated and full of spyware and ot…

Forgetting about how cruddy their hardware design is and their software as well- it’s still Facebook. Anyone without a hole in their head will prefer to entrust their VR privacy experience to Apple.

Thanks for the heads-up- deleted.
