I remember when they trashed Japanese restaurants in yet another protest against the Japanese. Funny thing was nearly all of these restaurants were owned by locals. There was footage of one Camry driver (again, local Chinese) who was dragged out of …

Trump and his views are abhorrent. Well done, Apple.

The guys on ATP mentioned that the cut-off point could be the inclusion of AES instruction set on Intel chips. This makes sense given the new file system's use of disk encryption. I'm not sure, my unsupported mid-09 MBP17 has Penryn C2D and I think …

jumpcutter said: Thanks Apple. Both of my Mac's (2008 Mac Pro and 2008 Macbook Pro) can not use this software. I guess since no hardware updates were announced that I may have to go to a PC and use Windows 10. I will never understand a co…

My mid-09 17" MBP misses out, as does my Mac Pro at work! Sad, but not irrationally angry at Apple like many over on MacRumours. Yosemite and ElCap are perfectly fine operating systems for these 7 year-old computers. The MP will hopefully be replac…

"The report went on to cite an anonymous Australian retailer as saying uptake has been slow" By banks, that is. There is only one bank offering Apple Pay here, we're all waiting for the rest of them to (work out the percentages with Apple and) jump…

It's funny how the weakest machine in the current lineup trounces my then top-of-the-line mid-2009 17" MBP on Geekbench. Progress, huh? Overdue for an upgrade, I think (as much as I love the ol' darling.)

17" rMBP please! Otherwise it's a SkyLake iMac for me later in the year...

Fix for "LaunchServices: received XPC_ERROR_CONNECTION_INTERRUPTED trying to map database" please. I've had to roll back to Yosemite because of this one. (And yes, I've filed a bug report).

Simplenote, in my experience, has the most reliable Mac & iOS synching (even on an old 12" PBG4 via web), and is my preferred app, then the native Notes app. I still like Vesper and use it occasionally, but the lack of Mac/iOS synching really is…

This is why the complaints by some pundits about there being nowhere for the Pencil to be stored on/inside the iPad Pro are misguided.

Thanks, Tim, for outing all the loony climate change denialists on AI.

Every year a new iPhone, same old rumour.

I can't see Apple bumping the RAM two years running. Given the Plus size iPhone is already rendering down to 1920x1080 from 2208x1242, is the additional RAM even necessary if they go to screen with more pixels (e.g., 2208x1242)?

Damn A$ and Australian pricing. Thinking about one of these next year, however my preferred configs have gone up A$440 and A$520.

Disappointing, Apple. Very disappointing.
