I got mine today, utterly terrifying - good god it's got my nerves jangling. I've got it running on a 2x2.5 with 4Gb, a 74gb Raptor 10k and a 6800UL, frame-rate looks fine at 1650x1080, the occasional stutter. Must go change underwear

I know a lot of people that have used various SonyEricssons with iSync and had no problems, they certainly seem very stable. Just on a side note, and no 'bashing' intended, but why do these phones get called "cellphones' in the US (Canada too may…

Got mine today too, total surprise to be honest, wasn't expecting it for ages btw, barefeats.com mention something about rebates for display-buyers who bought just before the price drop but their link didn't work, anyone else hear about this?

I think the 6800GT is the best overall value but beware that it has dual DVI ports (i.e. no ADC) and still takes 2 slots.

I had a very early MS BT mouse and hated it, the batteries lasted a few weeks at best and it went to sleep too quickly, meaning it took a second or so to restart. Drove me nuts so gave it to a mate. I expect they are better these days but I don't kn…

Quote: Originally posted by Messiah Yes, OS X takes advantage of both processors. You see the biggest advantage from dual processos when you're doing a lot of heavy stuff concurrently. You might be building something in Illustrator and running…

Quick question - I want a machine for games (Halo, BFF1942 etc), Office 2004, Safari, Mail, Photoshop and Toast'ing large movies onto DVD. I definately will not be buying any PCI-X adapters. Which machine would your recommend then, the single 1.8…

Thanks for that, will you post a response on here if anything changes please, I'll do the same. Thanks again.

Thanks for that, the problem I have is how to connect to his machine, as in what IP address I should connect to, what about firewalls, NATs etc. That's the complex bit.

I don't know what they changed but, subjectively, Halo (1.0.4.1) seems to run at the same speed with pixel shaders as it used to with just vertex shaders. This is on a dual g5 2.0 with 4Gb and a 9800.

Back in September, I posted that it's called "Bengal", as in Tiger - here's the post (http://forums.appleinsider.com/showt...l&pagenumber=2)

I'd go with a single processor xserve over a g5 because of two reasons; 1. X Server included as mentioned by others. 2. Bootable raid - you don't get that on a G5, basically you would be protecting the boot volume.
