The specs say 60Gb for apps and 20Gb for livetext (or whatever it's called), 80Gb for the lot! how many DVDs is it going to need - good piracy ploy though - or do you think they meant Mb?
-
You're right, I meant one "hole"/third-of-a-U, either way - no need for the waste of space.
-
It's a pity that they've wasted 1U between each box, they run perfectly well on top of each other, oh and I'm surprised that they've done some of the power cabling at the front, much tidier to do them at the back as part of the overall cable managem…

It's a business'ey thing, hence the deep-pockets.

I just rememeber when Compaq used to sell 8-way Proliants, I can't seem to see that kind of thing anymore.

It's sort of a huge Windows-only modelling and management system for things. Basically it needs LOTS of power, lots. And lots.

To me a computer is a tool and nothing more, I spend significantly less time managing my Mac than if I had a Windows machine. Simple as that, less than 1-2% of my time in front of my Mac is spent on non-work tasks. I can't remember the last time I h…

I would strongly advise buying in store, I know it's easy t buy on the web but if you buy at a store you can check for dead pixels.

Bluetooth is slower than USB 1.1, plus there's a licence charge for every BT device, I just can't see the point, it's actually too slow to even transmit decent quality stereo sound over, so I doubt you would even see remote headphones. Sorry to b…

Both the T68/T68i and the P800 are Tri-Band GSM phones, so I would imagine this one will be too.

.MP4's can contain tags 'cos I use "MakeMineMP4" with iTunes3 and it works exactly the same as an MP3. If the new iPods play AAC/MP4's then I'll be getting one, they sound so much better than MP3s and generally take up only 80% the space.

There won't be bluetooth, as it's pointless, too slow to do anything at all; there won't be fw800 as it's not needed and would add to the cost; and there won't be spdif, you copy music to ipods via fw, it pays for apple to keep it that way and they …

I have a PB800 with 10.2.1 a dlink bluetooth adapter and a SE T68i. I'm on O2 in the UK and have GPRS service (the 4mb option). I use it mostly for accessing my company's exchange servers using Outlook in classic over the Cisco VPN client (3.6.2…

Thanks asterix, it's nice to know that not everyone in the US is swallowing what's being forced down their throats. I saw Letterman taking a dig at Sean Penn, is he getting bonus'ed on that?
-
I was looking for a reason to smile about this, I like that one thanks.

His lack of argument (or evidence to support his argument) is embarrassing and he will not answer questions directly. He's not one of history's great public speakers is he?

Othello, I had that 1000 page problem, it was to do with binary vs. ascii postscript, you have to specify a specific queue name for the printers ip interface so that it knows it's binary ps. The only problem is that very old hp ethernet cards (and m…

Keda, you nw guy is talking rubbish collisions are a layer 2 thang, I assume you're using ethernet just like the normal network, if so he's talking utter crap. JLL has a good point though. You could just use ftp or nfs but smb is ok, works anyway…

Well, it is more "broadcast'ey than IP, but on a well designed network it shouldn't cause any more issues than any other non-IP protocol. To be fair though I'd be very tempted to drop it as soon as you can, the world is an IP world now and there's n…

Works with my CompactFlash PCMCIA adapter too!
