For what its worth we had an Apple techie out recently and he recommended the iBot although when I went to check some reviews on it there were complaints about it producing a dark picture from normal interior light. Has anyone any experience of the …

I'm not a great Epson fan after their debacle with drivers for OSX but apart from that my last two printers have been Epsons and both worked perfectly, producing great quality pics (never been particularly enthralled by their text ). Didn't realise …

Sorry, i don't know a lot about them but i saw that nobody had answered your post. I bought a Canon MV450i a couple of months ago and am delighted with it. Partucularly good for me was the analogue in feature which has made transferring from VHS a b…

£599 ex VAT for the camera ( bought for school so don't know what inc VAT would be) from Macwarehouse. Tried it out and it seems great. Firewire was a squoosh ! Shot a bit of film connected, opened iMovie and it came in in separate clips just as I …

Thanks for the help guys. I went down to local store and checked it out. It does have a firewire connection so I suppose it must work with iMovie. Local mac reseller has also sold some of them to mac users so I'll go ahead.

Try opening your jpg in Graphic Converter and then saving it again as a jpg. Bizarre I know but it works for me.

We bought the iBot which has had decent write ups but I find the picture still very dark at times and can't seem to improve it. I'd like to hear from anyone who has a different experience of it.

I'm totally unqualified to answer this but I have got my iMac and ibook able to transfer files so I can tell you what I did. I don't know what system you have but mine have 10.2.3. On the iMac: switch airport on Create network - click OK (Make…

iMovie is strange when it comes to stills from digital cameras. Generally need to run it through something like graphic converter, save it as jpeg again and it should now load OK. You will also have to change its size so it fills whole screen. Resiz…

Rod for Mod !

Thanks, Rod. It certainly does. I've got my pencil and paper out as I write this, doing some sums. There may be a long pause (weeks? ) and then a follow up question, if that's OK. One for just now. Am I right in thinking that in theory there sho…

Just off the top of my head I'd run them through Graphic Converter and save them again as JPEGS. I had this problem with pics straight from my Epson Photo PC800 and that cured it.

I've much the same problem but I'm putting it down to Epson's drivers as much as OSX.

I've just reinstalled 10.2 and then back up to 10.1.5. It only seems to replace certain system files. Password, prefs, docs etc were fine. Be warned though,if you look at the Apple discussion boards you'll see that problems have occurred for som…

Thanks, jamie. worked a treat. Just spent the whole night reinstalling everything . Hadn't realised how long optimisation takes for everything. Interesting thought, my original problem stemmed from changing from 9 into 10 just as the mother and fath…

I think I might have missed something here. I'm assuming you've tried unchecking the locked box under "Show info" for these files?
