Haven't had a single kernel panic yet (new imac since start of february). I obviously lead a boring life.

Can't complain about Epson quality - I still use a Stylus colour 740 at home and it does for me. however, I cant believe the noise the C60 , which I use at school , makes. It turns heads for all the wrong reasons. Back to my original beef - does …

Rant away, they deserve it. OSX support for both printers and cameras has been woeful. I'm waiting for support for my PhotoPC 800 digital camera and don't even know if they are working on it. Iphoto is a closed book to me at the moment. Is there so…

Thanks, havanas, that makes complete sense now. I'll put it in my library. it's a scary thought though that I'm the main (presumably admin?) user and i have no idea how to access my own system folder. I don't remember setting any passwords when i fi…

Not saying you're wrong, Clive, you have your own experiences. However, I've had my new imac for about 6 weeks now and only booted into system 9 twice. OSX has never crashed and I read talk of kernel panics out of curiosity. I have no idea what they…

Naderby, i'm interested in what you say about InDesign. Having used both, where would you say Indesign has the edge over Pagemaker?

Last version of P/M I used was 6.5 but in my opinion it was a great prog.

Just been over to the Apple boards and it seems that there are quite a few problems with IM3. This is a shame as a lot of us have been waiting for it for a long time. I've had the Ken burns problem twice now but otherwise no real problems. My feelin…

Sorry to hijack your thread Wolfeye but my son is at school in Scotland and is forced to learn something called COMAL. Does anyone know anything about this , and in particular, is there any Mac / Linux "version" he could use to program on his Mac? …

Love the new audio editing feature in iMovie. I've had all sorts of problems with a recent project but the level of control now is great.

OK , I've just re-read the whole 6 pages and i'm still intrigued by the keychain aspect. Do we have a definitive answer about this yet? I know Moki took it on the chin for posting too quickly but I'm with him on this. I've tried the suggestion of …

Another vote here for Chimera. Surprisingly stable, blazingly quick (d/load the speed boost) and not MS . Had the same strange reluctance to quit IE but haven't regretted it for a minute.

Yeah, I've got flat panel as well with 512 mbs. D/loaded patch but runs like a dog at crucial moments.

Yup, diablo 2 LOD in OSX sucks, I'm afraid. Plays v. well in 9, though. Wonder why that is. I thought that with 10.2.3 some of that would have been resolved but I played it the other night and suffered ritual humiliation on the cow level by being ki…

Main one is MOH although I've just finished it - what a disappointing ending. Diablo 2, Myth 2, wolfenstein MP demo and recently went back to Monkey Island 1 + 2 when afflicted with a bout of nostalgia.
