I noticed techrestore is selling a 200gb 7200rpm macbookpro harddrive upgrade. Anyone know why apple isn't offering this drive as a BTO option?

As far as I remember, whenever Apple has come out with a new machine it always requires the latests and greatest OS version at the time. Therefore, any computer Apple introduces after the launch of leopard will require it to run.

Didn't there used to be a 250GB hard BTO option? Or am I imagining things?

I'm surprised Microsoft ranked so high in employee ranking. Maybe I'm too much of an Apple fan but everything I read about Microsoft (such as "inside the empire") suggests that is a cutthroat miserable working environment.

Well, I just ordered a Maxtor Personal Storage 3200 from staples. It hasn't come yet, but I'll try and remember to let you know if I have any issues. According to the maxtor website, it should be mac compatible: http://www.maxtorsolutions.com/en…

A bit off topic, but I can't resist since I see so many UK people in this tread. In your oppinion, are the Apple Ads in the UK not working well as I've read?
