I do not understand this attitude. I'm thrilled that Apple doesn't assume we need a new charger for every device and makes them available separately if needed. If you want to take 20% off if it's purchased as part of a bundle, that would be fine, bu…

"It will be a flash in the pan," said the official of the controversy. "Some legislators will get pissy. And then in a few weeks they will move onto something else. I'll give em this: They certainly understand the ramifications of the average Am…

And now our candidate for understatement of the year:Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger recently and quite grudgingly said that Apple had done a "pretty good job" with Apple Silicon.

This is so ass-backwards. I want companies (like Apple) to stop adding unnecessary components in their packaging. As when, for example, I already have a USB-C charger. I may not need another one, so don't force me to buy it!

To be fair, the books aren't exactly fast-paced action stories, so I'm hardly surprised that they don't make for the most riveting television. We'll have to see if, taken in full dose, the world-building is enough to reach emotional critical mass.

Greg Joswiak and Phil Schiller overruled Twerdahl, saying that they didn't want Apple to get into the business of making cheap, low-margin devices. They also didn't want a cheap Apple-branded device to affect its reputation for premium hardwar…

This perfectly demonstrates the collision of two different components of technology: The computer-based world is used to older formats and equipment becoming obsolete. With a digital converter, though, my 30-year old CRT TV still works just fine at …

[Apple] has not explained particulars of the situation. Oh, I think we know the particulars. They're likely completely within their rights to fire her, but I suspect they'll find that this will hardly make the problem go away.

I, too, deeply dislike ending statements with rising inflection. I obviously wasn't there to see if this criticism was given equally to men and women, but I find it equally annoying from either.

If the mini's screen is too small, shouldn't a customer be buying a different model? Or are iPads going to experience size creep like car models that start compact and soon are midsize? Like small cars, small tablets have a place.

What? Apple was not culpable for an apparently widespread issue because it occurred outside the (dismal) one year warranty? Is US consumer law that weak that past an arbitrary manufacturer-defined limit - which could be less than a year, consu…

Always so ridiculous that they include Surface but no iPads. ("Please try to make Microsoft look better!")

Time to dig out the mid-’50s original Peanuts books I inherited. It's really interesting to see how the characters evolved visually over the years.
