I had the same problem after the incremental update to 10.3.7. It took about 5 mins to get to the desktop. I reinstalled 10.3 and downloaded the BIG combo 10.3.7 updater. My iMac is now SNAPPIER? and starts up in seconds!

Yeah! Those MRI thingies are scary. They even ask you if you ever had any metal fragments in your eyes. Can't even begin to think what that would do to you inside there! And don't even think of taking your iPod near one of those things
