I did some work this evening. For some reason I was unable to get into safe mode and I pressed and held the Shift key hoping to go into safe mode. After that I tried the option of a hardware test by inserting the #1 CD that came with the MBP and…

Thank you. That's exactly what I needed to know.

I'm not sure what happened but I ended up doing another Disk Utility on it and it started working now. I had done the same in the past with no luck so maybe I just did something differently this time but fortunately after about a day it still seems…

I'm not able to use any internet programs whether iTunes, Firefox, Safari, or Mail. Where would I look to see if it's set up to use an HTTP proxy? I tried using it at a neighbors house today and it still didn't work so I don't think it's connected…

I don't know what the issue was but I just did a reinstall of iLife 09 and it's working now. That's very odd but at least it's fixed now.

Thank you David. I look forward to hearing the reason for this as well as the work around. What is the web address for your blog? I definitely want to read it and look up the solution.

I just checked and only file sharing and screen sharing is selected on all Mac's. I may have an idea of what the problem is though. I have a comcast cable modem coming into the house which is connected into an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. B…

I never installed Safari 4 on my computer so know it's not that. Any other ideas?

Thanks. That's exactly what I needed.

Thanks. I'll pull those 3 up and take a look at them.

I'll give that a try. I'm not sure if this is related in any way but the 2 MBP's and the Mac Pro are all using WiFi through a Wireless N Airport Base Station. The Mac Mini is on wired but is on Gigabit ethernet. Also, just to set it up, etc. it's…

Yes, I would use BT to connect with my MBP for 3G web browsing remotely. I hope even with the SDK someone comes out with software to allow it but I don't know if it will be possible. As far as I know it never was on the current iPhone.

I haven't checked the ports but will look at that now.

I wanted to transfer the actual mail accounts. It is IMAP mail so I know then all the email will come in.

Thanks. I just tried that. Probably not as nice as turning it off but definitely a great option with the key repeat issue.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

I realized that using Cable Select was correct. I tried hooking it up and using the Option Key and the Eject key to eject it. The only problem is the drive I have, an LG4165B won't eject. It looks like it's ready to eject and it can't. My concern …
