Here's my site... it's just a place for me to share photos with my friends: http://web.mac.com/mikemakowski/

Remember this? About a year ago, Apple had a 30 day promo for the Mac mini. Mysteriously, the promo was pulled the day after it was introduced.

I like the interface. I hope they change .Mac mail to look like this page.

This happens to me every few months with the Mighty Mouse. I just put some windex on a paper towel and rub it over the ball in different directions. Then let the ball dry for a few minutes and it should work.

Perhaps some will disagree with me, but I don't think there is much of a difference in Mac OS X's UI responsiveness when you go above about 1GHz. I helped my friend setup & install some applications on his new Dual 2.7GHz G5 w/6GB Memory, an…

This was happening to me with a song by "The Shins" for the longest time. It was a song I got from iTunes music store so I burned it to CD and re-imported the file into iTunes (but kept it as AIFF) and now it plays fine on my iPod.

The best way to get an application to remember its window size and position is to do these things, in this order: 1. Place the Window where you want it 2. Resize the Window to the size you want it 3. and last, before doing anthing else, quit th…

I had the same problem. All you need to do is search your Hard Drive for any files ending with ".exe" and delete those files. It'll be happy after that.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS and Dreamweaver MX 2004 to design and work with my band's website, and am very happy with both of them. I use Dreamweaver to upload my files via FTP, I don't think you need a seperate application for that.

By the time of the 900MHz G3 iBook, all Apple computers came installed with OS X. I believe you can not boot it directly into OS 9.

I recommend just getting the Powerbook now. Consider this: Panther has had 8 updates so far (it's currently 10.3.8), and is quite mature and stable. When Tiger comes out it will be version 10.4.0, and it may take a while to reach the same level o…

I **hope** they fix the bug that causes the mouse cursor to freeze (requiring a restart) if the mouse gets moved while logging out. This happens on every one of my computers since 10.3.2, but strangely I have never seen anyone else mention this bug.…

I believe it is a Cocoa app now.
