iLife and iWork will always be bundled separately. The only combination I could see is Leopard and iLife '07 shipping as one package.

You'll be fine with Panther unless they suddenly become like Microsoft and make products unusable with old software.

Final Cut Pro blows Adobe Premier out of the water. I've used Adobe Premier 2.0 on a PC and Final Cut is a much more intuitive. Let's see what Adobe comes up with, though. They did say they were reworking it from the ground up.
