  • i don't think i will purchase a .mac account. i think it's a fair idea... i guess. it's just that as a student i can't afford this "luxury". sure, i used idisk and email, but i just can't justify spending $50, then $100 yearly at this point. so …
  • re: paul i can relate bro. such a dilemma just trying to justify the $ and whatnot between the two. i'm just doing my best to try to hold out until mwny to see if anything worthy to either the ti or ibook happen. waiting sux.
  • thank you all fellow students/designers. i really value your shared experience/imput. i'm sure you all know how tough it is to decide how much you want, or absolutely feel you must spend on a machine to get you through using your most frequent apps,…
  • anyone feel this new ibook 700 would be enough to suffice the daily use of a college student design major? apps would mostly be ps7, illustrator/freehand 10, flash mx, golive6, indesign 2. would the 700 ibook be able to hang for a couple years o…
  • are there any apple resellers around your area? if ones within a couple hours drive, might be worth the trip. it's always nice to compare for yourself, with your own references.
  • very cool response. i appreciate hearing others true-to-life experiences vs would-be-speculations. it's a nice twist here.

  • I'd call it a draw. You paid $500 more but it's safe to say that you Powerbook G4 has kept up with the PC's selling at that time. Notebooks are a little different however...I think you'd see a much more drastic difference in Desktops. $500 diff…
  • err... i dunno abou that one luca. haha. you were almost there....
  • ... very interesting responses. especially when resorting to sales figures... remember this when you post your "i wanna see" 's in other areas. seems ironic in a way. but thanks nonetheless. i do appreciate all of the responses. however, do…
  • i appreciate that scott. however, i can't help but feel as if most people buy the "consumer" models out of simple justification of price/affordability?? ie, don't you think your g/f would have bought just about anything you told her to? (not to soun…
  • that being said, if I wasn't so sick of having a small screen I would get the iBook in a heartbeat. Right now I am torn between the 667 TiBook and the $1499 iBook.... i'm in the exact same boat paul...*sigh*

  • so would you say that the core of apples real problems are b/c of motorola being lame? (sorry, i'm not too hip to all the mega-tech info) so it's actually motorola to be frustrated with b/c apple really truely wants to give us what we want? *shru…
