You can only share iTunes on your local network without some special application or plugin (not that I know there is one). I've tried sharing with my roommate but we both have separate routers and internet connections so it doesn't work.

I'll probably install Office '08 for speed purposes. Ribbons are quite retarded, IMO. Takes too many clicks unless everything you need is in one area. Not to mention it's completely static. If you have a different workflow, tough shit. You have thre…

The Safari popup blocker SUCKS. I don't get any popups on AppleInsider but I get popunders elsewhere all the time. To add to that, it doesn't allow you to temporarily disable popup blocking with a keyboard shortcut, and it doesn't allow site whiteli…

I've had my Macbook for about 10 months now. I'm very happy with it. Don't base your decision on the opinion of a pessimist.

This can't be real. You mean you're only counting the people who actually responded seriously right, because if someone came up to me and started asking me penis questions in a computer store I'd probably just walk away. Penis solicitation is not to…

You can also hold down Shift while pressing the volume keys to temporarily disable that "blip."

Is there any chance someone could download and rehost the file for the scrollbars? Rapidshare is terrible and you have to wait like 3 hours before downloading another file. EDIT: Never mind. I went to MacThemes. They have it hosted elsewhere.

Looks nice; the content is evidently in elementary stages. I predict it will attract quite a few users if you clean it up a little bit. I noticed a few spelling and grammar errors, but overall it looks good. BTW, I find Google text-based ads to b…

Sounds like either your headphone jack is screwed up and you're not getting good contacts, or your preamp is blown. Sorry to say it, but you need a new iPod. It'll probably cost too much to repair.

If anyone else was wondering if it worked (if anyone read it lawl), it did. I just closed iTunes, copied everything from the old drive to the new drive, renamed the old drive, renamed the new drive to MY MEDIA, and opened up iTunes and all is well. …

Well... this is the "general" forum. I think anything goes... Alas, I don't have an answer.

If it says you don't need it, you don't need it. I believe the hard drive update is for aluminum iMacs anyway.

Front Row only works with photos in iPhoto. Just import them into iPhoto, you can still open and edit them in Aperture, just use iPhoto for Front Row.

There isn't currently a way to do this. Since Leopard disables pretty much all plugins (minus Flash, QuickTime, etc.), old plugins like Saft (which had this functionality) don't work anymore. If anyone knows of a way to do it, please post. This is p…

You don't have to upgrade to Leopard, but there's always the possibility of a snappier experience. You can run Vista with Boot Camp, VMware Fusion, or Parallels in 10.4.10, but it will be terribly slow in Fusion or Parallels. It will run just fine i…

Spotlight is in progress of initial indexing. The time it takes to complete the initial indexing depends on how much content you have to index. What size hard drive do you have?
