Unless Apple was surprisingly able to suddenly get access to higher-resolution touchscreen displays (which means a new round of FCC and European Commission RF certification testing), I really don't believe this story.

Given that Apple will probably "refresh" their iMac, maybe MacBook and MacBook Pro probably starting in April 2011, I think there is time so Apple can still meet its original shipping date for the updated products.

Not surprisingly, it didn't take long for people to criticize the new iTunes icon with articles like this: http://www.cultofmac.com/steve-jobs-...ng-email/57982 I think we're so used to the old iTunes icon that this radical change just confuse…

I'd like to know WHAT will Google do with their music store. \ First of all, what audio compression codec will they use? It's either going to be 256 kbps variable bit rate MP3 (but that would copy Amazon's format) or 256 kbps variable bit rate AA…

Before we just dismiss the 6G nano outright, let's actually get our hands on one and USE it. Why? Because it will take some getting used to the multitouch functionality of the new nano if you're not used to the touchscreen operation of the iPod touc…

In my humble opinion, this is a TERRIBLE idea. The problem with the touchscreen this small as rumored on the new nano is that given the different finger sizes, it could end up being more difficult to navigate around the player controls than nece…

In my humble opinion, Apple's demonstrations are totally disingenuous. The simple test comes down to this: 1) Hold the iPhone 4 without the bumper case in a natural way with your left hand and watch the reception quality take a major nosedive …

If the fix can be implemented in an iOS 4.x update I'm all for it! This issue is a stain on an otherwise wonderful cellphone.

Question: has anyone tried a Belkin or Griffin Technology iPhone protective case and see it THAT cures the problem? If it does, that tells me there's a physical problem with the iPhone 4 itself--too much sensitivity to the electrical charge from a h…

Personally, I think Apple could face scrutiny from the Department of Justice Antitrust Division and possibly European Commission antitrust authorities for the following reasons: 1) The banning of Adobe Flash from iOS. They want to know if it was …

I'm surprised there hasn't been more response on this forum to this because one thing Apple does NOT want to get into is a fight with European Commission antitrust authorities (look at how the EC antitrust authorities hassled Microsoft for years ove…

I'll say this though: if Apple has its way, Gawker Media could end up with a couple of high-level employees in jail and possibly be sued by Apple, Inc. out of existance. Now that's really scary.

Sorry, it won't happen. The fear that Apple will make ARM instruction proprietary and lock out competitors could run the ire of the Department of Justice Antitrust Division in the USA and the European Union antitrust regulators, and that will kib…

I do think that Apple might seriously consider using the latest AMD Phenom II X4 quad-core CPU's for a couple of reasons: 1) AMD might have developed a full motherboard chipset--including an advanced ATI GPU--that combined with the Phenom II X4 C…

Here's what we know now: 1) The price of flat panel HDTV's that can display Blu-ray disc playback at full resolution are rapidly coming down in price. 2) The price of Blu-ray players that support video streaming from an external source are als…

I still think we'll see Blu-ray BD-RE drives on iMacs, Mac Pros and possibly higher-end MacBook Pros very soon. I cite the following reasons: 1) Downloading full-length movies are already pushing at the very limits of Internet bandwidth--and t…
