meelash, while I agree that the 'war' we are in is ridiculous, I can't help but be amazed at the second part of your siggie. Are you saying Somalia was peaceful and fuzzy all over before US involvement despite mass starvation and warring gangs wagin…

What melgross said... We are an entirely mac based production unit within a 'normal' business model (read: PC based accounting and sales). When it was time for us to upgrade from an old 'server' (basically a G4 tower with hard drives crammed in eve…

I'll repeat my usual gripe: If Apple doesn't release a midtower this year, I guess I'll skip another year. I haven't bought a Mac for at least 10 years now (my last was a PowerComputing). Newer models have been acquired through school dumpsters, an…

and they have now stopped mentioning DESKTOPS. If Apple sold a $1200 desktop without a screen but with full access to the hard drive, optical, and video card, they'd probably see growth in that area as well.

I agree. Your response is boring and hardly clever. Now that Apple is on top, they are being sued every few weeks for this and that obscure technology. Let's see how many lawsuits it will take before you make a comment on the subject, clever or not.

Agreed. It hurts Starz more to lose Disney than it does for Apple to be selling the movies. An unfortunate side effect of this lawsuit is that every studio is now studying their contracts with cable/downloading companies to see if they are 'stuck'.

wouldn't the greatest irony of all this be that intead of people buying a Mac to add DVR backend capability to their ?tv, they buy a cheapo PC to do it. A lot of people here are complaining that they don't want to buy another $3000 mac or bog down t…

Has anyone given thought to whether Apple will actually extend the support of quicktime for all those codecs PC heads have to fight with? It's all well and good that this new quicktime can encode for the correct aspect, resolution, blah blah, but i…

It seems many people feel the same as I do. And, according to a recent statement, Apple still isn't listening. I will join the ten or so people in this thread and say, my ancient Mac is 'good enough' and I will not be buying anything that is curren…

Perhaps, as has been stated by many loyalists, instead of giving us 16 zillion cores etc, Apple should give us an actual mid-tower. I don't want a weakling mini that I can't upgrade, I don't want an iMac because I have a display I love, and I don't…
