Social networking is an interesting new phenomenon. I have a Bebo, FaceBook and Flickr page but I'm very careful about what I post. I'm 22, and have quite a strong sense of privacy. Bebo, FaceBook and Flickr are mainly used to keep in touch with peo…

paprochy, maybe the MBP itself is faulty. Can you take it to an Apple Store and ask them to take a look?

Thats very odd. My suggestion would be to back up all your stuff and reformat. Also, do you have any problems running (like hacks) that alter how OS X looks? I used to be very into those but they had a HORRENDOUS performance impact.

Open your Home folder, click and drag the Pictures folder to an external volume.

I think it will do quite well, Apple have learned from the Cube mistake.

Glad you got that sorted. I was gonna suggest it was maybe a Leopard bug. Lord! Could you imagine?!!

I know you want to avoid buying an AEBS but they really are very handy, and allow you also to share printers (via a USB hub). Just a thought...

I love Comic Life. I do some youth work and when we hold events, we have the tendency to take a lot of photos so for the evaluation, I tend to make a comic instead of opening Word and writing a boring blow-by-blow account of what happened. Goes down…

If your main reason for wanting this feature is to find remnants of programs you want to get rid of, may I suggest AppZapper. You drag an .app file in, it scans for all related preferences, caches etc and then zaps them! Genius.

Ah ha. I'm glad I wasn't the only one caught out with this! Activate File Sharing, click Options and then tick Share Files Using SMB and then click the appropriate user account below.

I don't thing SET will do it, but according to Apple's site: "You can also delete a single file or folder that you’ve been backing up — and delete it from all of your backups going back in time."

Actually, it makes perfect sense. Time Machine, from my understanding of it, backs up EVERYTHING on your Mac in the first go. And then it backs up new and changed files every time it's run. It never deletes anything unless you actually go to efforts…

FileMaker can handle images. The field you are trying to store the image in must be a Container.

I can only agree entirely. Mobile phones, in my opinion, should be manufactured with only the option to vibrate. Ring tones should be phased out. Some of them are just AWFUL. As for these phones that act as mini ghetto blasted, their owners shoul…
