I did a little experiment last year where I used an iPad only for a week (no computer). By the end of the week, I was really good at it & now I actually prefer the ipad to the computer for many tasks. I think that the two big shortfalls onthe ip…

3 things Steve allegedly was working on when he died were: TV, textbooks & hospital equipment. I'd bet it's either TV related or textbooks for the ipad. TV sounds the most realistic, possibly the long 'rumored bundled package' but it doesn't see…

3 points to add to the discussion. 1. Apple (AT&T in the US) just started selling the 3gs for free. It's still only on AT&T & from the anecdotal reports I've read, it is selling very well. It will likely be close to another year befor…

Some companies force you to go with a specific carrier. One of our vendors is TMo only. for those stuck in that kind of situation an unlocked iPhone might be worth it.

This whole battle seems like a losing proposition for Palm. Imagine if you bought an iphone and every week or couple of weeks it stopped syncing with your media. Eventually it gets fixed, but sooner or later it stops syncing again. This happens over…

If it was such a bad deal, AT&T wouldn't have extended the contract last year & tried to do it again this year. Verizon also seems pretty interested in getting the iphone. Seems like the carriers don't mind the arrangement at all.

jobber, I think the inferno reference was a positive (as in the apple stores are really doing well, they're on fire) not a slam on the stores. I think the comment was completely appropriate.

You can't use this service with a 5th gen video ipod it appears. If that's correct, it seems like kind of a stupid move on Apple's part. How many potential customers are they excluding from the rental process right off the bat. I'd like to play, but…

I'm surprised they are selling for $1.99. Didn't PBS or discovery or someone put some TV shows on itunes at $7.99? (I think it was the TV show NOVA) This seems like it would be worth a bit more than $2.
