The machine should only recognize one or the other, depending on the model. If it's a Woodcrest or Clovertown model, it uses the 667MHz, and up to 16GB. If it's the new Harpertown model, it can take up to 32GB of 800MHz RAM, but none of the 667.

No, but you can remap the Expose/Dashboard commands to F16-F19, if the conflict with those is the reason you don't like it.

I've used it before, very briefly, but not with audio or video. I would try going through the automated MS email support first, before you call, though.

No, it's something you should be able to do yourself. If it's a MacBook, there's three screws under the battery that hold a thin L-shaped strip of metal on... right under there, you'll find the levers to release the RAM. If it's a MacBook Pro, un…

I've always thought the anodized black finish of the black iPod classic would make a good MacBook Pro.

Drag and drop onto a blank DVD, and burn.

Ahh, my mistake. So sorry. It must have been the fact that when I clicked on "md0tdubz" username, it sent me to your profile. I guess if he was removed and you took his user number, that could happen. Welcome to the boards, then . I promise I'…

Are you sure that tap-to-click is still engaged? If so, try turning it off, quitting the System Prefs, then launching them again and turning TTC back on.

So because you have a couple devices that won't fit into that port, it's suddenly a horrible design? My fat-ass flash drive fits into it, and if that thing can fit, it's big enough for me. If the recessed USB port bothers you... don't buy one. An…

It's pretty hard to find bad RAM these days. So while Crucial is a tried-and-true brand (though not as much as Kingston, IMO), there's nothing to suggest that the OWC modules are of any lesser quality.

Data that resides in universal file formats, like music and photos, can be extracted by hooking the drive up as an external. Things like bookmarks and contacts will need to be exported first, and that requires a running PC.

The system should use whatever card the display is attached to, and disable the other automatically. However, the computer can only use one card at a time (barring the multiple 2600's solution) and therefore the secondary card will be disabled. So w…

How do you even "move" data between drives without initiating a "copy" action? I can understand move vs. copy on the same drive, but not between drives.

Really, because every benchmark I've seen puts the GMA X3100 at a good 25-40% better than the GMA 950.

This will sound really dumb, but did you ensure the monitor is turned on? I just dealt with someone at work who had the same problem, and it was just the monitor being turned off. Even when off, the computer will detect it, and extend the desktop to…
