I suspect, that judge knows more about the law, then all people in this thread combined. Patent wars started blocking progress. Taking in account speed of tecnological progress, patents should't last more than couple of years, imho.

So.... it's iPad 2s. Still dual-core, probably still 512 MB RAM. I believe now it will be safe to presume no quad-core inside the next iPhone. It feels like Apple run out of battery behind it's innovation engine.

Current speed of technical progress demands intelectual property rights to last no longer than 3-5 years, otherwise they only prevent progress from development.

I think the whole idea behind it - is to be able to run same Mac applications on both platforms that exist today - OS X and iOS. I totally see myself having, let's say, future 16-core iPhone. It needs no more than 2 cores to run in the phone mode. …

Just want to point out that Apple didn’t say that Leopard will be released in October. “Anticipating launching the software in October” can also mean that it will be released in February 08.
