No way they are going to create an EDGE-only phone in 2009 for god sakes! It is much easier to just add a secondary data plan for ~$10-$15 that comes with a smaller monthly allotment of say 100MB or 250MB.

On a semi-related note, I think Intel should leave Android to the cellphones, and get rid of their custom linux distro for "MIDs", and just work with Ubuntu on a netbook linux version. The majority of the isssue with consumer linux adoption is th…

Just FYI, the new architecture of the Intel's Nehalem platform aka Quickpath, Integrated memory controller/NUMA, Level 3 cache, revised TLB, SMT, etc improves performance relatively proportionally to the number of CPUs. What I mean is that single…

Well it's about time.. There is no reason whatsoever for the iMac to not have a Core 2 Quad by now. The latest steppings run very cool and hardly use any more power than the original 65nm Core 2 duos used in the iMac before. And not to mention Intel…

@DGD/Prince Mclean Good analysis as usual, but unfortunately (as always) you end up tarnishing your good work by injecting a few lines of obvious bias. 1) Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of the Blackberry Storm, but RIM is certainly not being fo…

I'm not a big gamer, but it would be interesting to see a hardware accessory that provides a thumpad/buttons for better game controls. Also, as good as the iPhone is, the hardware is nothing compared to the newer generations... An updated iPhone wit…

1) There is no way in hell the Mini will go from a standard-voltage >2Ghz Core 2 Duo to an atom, even a dual-core Atom. There is no legitimate reason to do this, as these chips are primarily meant for very-low-price, low-power laptops. - The Mi…

I think the Macbook Air is the perfect form factor as it is now... Although I am not so naive to think Apple would actually redesign it with functionality in mind, It would be *perfect* if it had an expresscard slot, firewire or a USB/eSATA combo po…
