Yes. do not use a screen protector. It isn't all that neccessary and degrades the design. I agree, its a waste of money and the only thing it will do is keep off finger prints, which you can easily whipe away with a cloth

Im not totaly sure as well, but to be safe you should let it drain completely and then charge it over night, if its your first time charging

Run the battery tell down tell it dies, then charge it over night. Out of the box these types of products have some battery life already. If you charge it immediatley you will loose a few hours of battery life
