Glenn Fleishman wrote a similar article on TidBits.com back on the 20th and also suggested Quad9 for consideration (9.9.9.9 and 149.112.112.112). http://tidbits.com/2018/04/20/cloudflare-and-quad9-aim-to-improve-dns/

If Apple would give me the option of blocking any inbound “unknown caller,” I’d be a happy customer. I’m not interested in taking calls from organizations who intentionally hide their phone number. Most of the time that means spam.

I bought one and the sound quality when playing music is very, very good. But the Siri implementation really blows. I go to friends' houses with competing AI products and am amazed at how fast the technology has progressed and how far behind Apple r…

Corporate Apple never even promised a delivery year, did they? Now I'll admit, I never expected delivery would be two years out from the initial announcement but that was carefully calculated to stem the tide of pro users from abandoning the platfor…

Are they downloadable yet? If so, where? The App Store on my iPad Pro still shows the 3.XX version for download although the version history lists version 4.0 availability seven hours ago.

When I looked online after the presentation, the education price was $309. Edit: My error, I looked at the college price. Maybe the secondary education price is lower.

Local TV reported the pedestrian was outside of a crosswalk and was wearing earbuds. Sounds like the pedestrian was was at fault to me. Self-driving vehicles make the going-in assumption that the applicable traffic laws will be followed although t…

The insulating material on Apple USB-to-Lightning cables frequently cracks just beyond the Lightning connector. I've taken three or four back to my local Apple Store over the years and complained about my fear that it will eventually short out and c…

I’m quite pleased with the sound of the HomePod but Siri really sucks. I’m finding I didn’t stress (use) it rigorously before. Now I’m using it all the time since it’s hands-off and Siri blows big time. I’m returning my HomePod and will get one late…

MacRumors has a HomePod article which includes details on how to track your UPS Next Day Air Saver HomePod shipment even if Apple still shows "Preparing to Ship." All you need is the phone number associated with the order. Worked for me, a nine pou…

HomePod was ordered about 15 minutes after the Apple Store opened up for business two weeks ago tomorrow. Yet here we are one day to go and I still don't have a tracking number from Apple. But the "Your Orders" webpage says "Next Day Shipping" so I …

leighr said: Cost is a relative thing. Perhaps Apple would have been better to introduce HomePod at $175 in order to firstly gain market share, and then move up to premium HomePodPro models. Most quality MBA programs have a case study or…

Ordered. Space Gray. 9 Feb. Ref processor chip complaint above, I'm making the assumption the A8 has enough power to run things properly, including the enhancements Apple has in the pipeline (stereo with two speakers, different music on different Ho…

Yep, ordered. The blue button is "Order" which I guess makes sense since it's a pre-order. Maybe will change to "Buy" on the 9th.

I've been trying every half hour or so since ~4:30 am EST and the blue Buy button remains MIA. Clearly sales didn't open up at midnight PST as all the Apple-related websites were claiming.

So much for Tim Cook’s repeated claims that Apple was paying every cent due in taxes. Is this just a case of differing opinions among tax attorneys or is Apple just being overly aggressive with deductions and now being called to task?
