beacause you're not supposed to quit the Finder... that key is called the command key. old apple types will sometimes also refer to it as the "open apple" key.

answer: more RAM. it's still not gonna be great, but ah well. there's also not a very big HD in that sucker. not much swap space.

three steps: 1. plug cable from g5 to router. 2. when you start up the g5, it will run through a setup process. it will ask you about your network setup. 3. there is no step three.

many companies will allow you to "sidegrade" your software from one platform to another. i'm pretty sure Adobe will do this. i just think you need to contact them directly.

for general use, a USB 2 HD would work well. you're not going to notice that much of a performance lad behind firewire. for video... forget about it.

i wouldn't trust it. sure a DV tape can hold GBs of data, but there's little to no error correction. which is okay for video, but devestating to data.
