Product cycles? Gentlemen, please.... Um, wasn't the G3 only in Pro Desktops for 18-20 months? People... rumors are one thing, but these are dots that can't be connected. Apple will release the best machine they can as soon as the can. It'…

The only real problem with a 'low-end' unit is OS X. It is already almost to big for consumer machines that are 12-18 months old. As X progresses many of the machines that are being discussed here would be horrifically(sp?) crippled within a shor…

Mac and Macintosh are valuable brand items, yes. However, a shift in the nomenclature for its Pro Line may not be a bad idea. I don't have the market research on hand to say it would be a catastrophic move. Apple is actually a more recognized…

Ok, this is just goofy but my noodle is boiling now... Funny you bring this up, I was musing about it this AM to a buddy. The nVidia nForce isn't that old... pretty new design really. If the controller was made to use PPC chips rathe than X…

I am go go with Lemon on this one.., and tyhis is far from trolling. I really don't mind the premium. Really. But in a 2.5k-3k machine I don't want to see: GF4 MX boards in a 2.5k-3k machine. A Ti or Radeon 8500 should be standard. Lac…
