anyone have any idea how long it will take for firewire 2 to scale up to 1600 Mbps? (i think I even remember hearing 3200 Mbps but with different cabling) Also I thought we would now see native drives instead of ide to firewire bridges...

"and competitive with Wintel offerings" Woh! Apple is going to release a 2ghz G4 and price it under $2499?

ok the Snipers have been caught....you may carry on with your Apple speculation now... as far as the French go...they make great friends once you are friends with then...but they are the ones who are arrogant with americans...they can't except …

If you guys would be the same effort you do in trying to find out what the next Apple products will be into finding this sniper guy he could have been caught already!

the iPod will without a dougt eventually contain bluetooth/and some form of 802.11. This would allow a wireless a cam to remain ligh and funtional but have enormous storeage capability by wireless storing photos/vid on the iPod instead of expensive…

well when is 3.3 slated for release? assuming that is the one Apple will use next... Also If Apple switches to say an IBM power4 like processor what does that mean for compiling tools since Motorola owns one of the compiler makers?

Perhaps they could also just liscence the OS and have local makers make the computer hardware. Ofcourse they would only be allowed to sell the computers locally so they would not compete with Apples other markets.

Hey Eupfhoria, thanks for trying. Awww I really wish i could find a pic of that phone I have looked everywhere. It will probably be on display again at the next CES. The thing about it though is it looks to nice to be a real product. Its so thin …

Eupfhoria Awesome!!! I think it will be on at 11:30 and it is one of the first segments... now like I said it shows the white phone prototype for a split second but when you see it you will see why I thought it looked like an Apple Phone

if that danger hiptop was spruced up a bit and the price was lowered to $99 I think it could be a hit in schools... But anyway if WOZ's wheels of Zeus GPS venture goes well, and he teams back up with Jobs, and they take over wireless and create w…

"Add GPS and Airport" and don't forget to add an OLED screen...they are beautifal and thin...and we should start seeing them first in phones this fall or early 2003 (sanyo I believe will be amongst the first to release a cell phone with OLED)

"Connect the dots for the business model. Huge *recurring* revenue streams for Apple....restaurant searches, tickets, mobile chats. " Vindigo sort of does this already but they only have a version for palm os and pocket pc (i asked them about sym…

What if.... the Moto "G5" is destined to become what the G3 was (lower power/cheaper) So say for instance... - We first see the Moto G5 in the Powermac... -Then we see the IBM GPUL introduced in the Xserve..(Mid 2003) - Then the Moto G5 mov…

So moki you are suggesting that for developers the transition to a 64bit chip like this is no big deal? NeXt already ran on 64bit hardware so prospects look pretty good then. Although Digidesign i think will bybass the mach kernal with their Proto…

ok the news.com article suggest this is Not a dual core. So atleast in its first implimentaion it will be a single core. Moki/Programmer how hard is it to rewrite code for 64 bit assuming this chip is not backward compatible with 32 bit?
-
also Apple has hinted for over a year to some developers to expect quad based computers and to prepare your code (notice how motu advertised digital performer 3.0 last summer having the ability to take advantage of more than dual proccessors.) Wo…

Another deciding factor is how hard is it going to be for developers to support a 64bit chip. Altough we do not know if this chip will have backward 32bit compatibility I assume it will not because it is based on the power 4. Also many of you se…
