Like the guy in the support thread said- try their FW800 adapter instead. That'll work.

I think this is still the answer to your question. Not yet.

Just a different way of logging in to user accounts.

There are HFS+ drivers for Windows. At least, there used to be. Don't know if they still work with Windows 7 (and I especially don't know if they work with x64). Personally, I'm a fan of network attached storage. Would that work in your situation…

Ontario (AMD's first Bobcat Fusion processor) would work well in an AppleTV. I had figured a couple of years ago that Apple would use ION for the ATV, but it seems Apple has had a falling out with Nvidia since then (who can blame them). However, I t…

The charger with the lowest vampire draw on the market is the one you unplug between charges.

Here's Anand's comparison of a 2.5GHz G5 to the current Mac mini. It ain't pretty: about 2/3 the CPU power and ten times the power consumption.

I think the mini would be quite sufficient for your needs. A faster processor would shorten encoding times with that RipIt program, but you should have no problems with the base mini (and I wouldn't pay for the higher level mini... it's not worth th…

Any computer will let you mix different speed memory (as long as it's all the right type), it will just run it all at the slower speed.

I'm surprised the 5870 option is not the "Eyefinity-6" edition card. I had figured Apple would use the one with six mini-DisplayPorts.
-
The performance difference between 1066 and 1333 memory would be a few percentage points on memory-intensive benchmarks. Measurable, but not noticeable. Don't worry about it.

It'll be slower than the slowest netbook, and will suck out loud at video playback. Should be fine for (non-Flash) internet and email, though.
