You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this. Thank you, Fluffy.

Digital sucks. I'd rather have a flippable format. But then, I'm not running a Cinema Display and a G5 that's fast enough to burn through a magazine like a prairie fire. My PB12 has to wait to load that queer "page-turn" animation. Bugs the crap out…

Mandating this HDTV copy protection system from the Federal Government is a bad idea for the consumers the FCC is mandated to serve. 1. NO copy protection is ever 100% secure for more than a VERY brief time. When this hardware-based protection is…

The keyboard on the PB12 is worth its purchase alone.

Longhorn's more than just a pretty face. The interface seems to be getting more cluttered and incoherent by the day, but the under-the-hood components of Longhorn that people are getting excited about go far beyond what Apple has dabbled in. Of c…

Nevermind. I just restarted. It must be something to do with that damned FileVault. It encrypts with the mark of the beast!

Absolutely squat. Nothing I can do, really. The hardware isn't even detected when I go into System Profiler. As far as it's concerned, there is no Bluetooth hardware on this machine.

Performance-wise, it just comes down to whether the improved bandwidth on the G5 is enough to overcome the dual processors and dual L3 caches. Back when the G4's all went total dualage, with twin G4's across the board, I said that the day of the dua…

Microsoft demonstrated some nifty, DirectX-driven compositing technologies back when we last saw them come out with that Cube clone (remember that one, with the integrated phone and Cinema Display rip-off?). They showed whiz-bang effects, like a fri…

How about AOL just integrates the same video functionality into Windows AIM, including Voice 2.0, a mirror of iChat's capabilities. Yummy cross-platform standards.
