The MacBook should comfortably suit your needs. If you have extra cash laying around, you could always get the MBP instead, but based on what you described (school, internet, light video capture) I would say MacBook is what you want.

If you're looking for something small in the 200GB range, you might want to consider the LaCie Rugged All-Terrain Hard Disk. You could also buy a larger and faster Seagate drive, and use a Nexstar enclosure.

I think if there is going to be a major update to the MBP, Apple will make a formal announcement on February 26, along with other goodies (iPhone SDK, etc). I will check apple's website tomorrow, just in case. ;-)
