I get the same thing in Office for OS X and 2001, but not in 98. Most days I just boot from OS9 and use Office 98. It's really distracting. I've even tried turning all of the auto-format junk off, but it doesn't fix it. Windows gets that way too…

My wife and I have AComData drives which are both USB 2.0 (1.2 backward compatible) and Firewire, and dual platform. Very nice. I also have several smartdisk products, and they work well.
